Boat for all Occasions
Bring Your Camera Enjoy a tour of the "castles in the Sound"an extraordinary variety of local lighthouses, each with its own unique storyfrom moody, elegant Race Rock to charming, cozy Morgan Point. Bring Your Appetite SeaPony's chefs will provide delicious, and equisitively presented food for any occasion. Here are some sample menus Imagine... Heading up the Thames River, you see New London's newly refurbished waterfront, check out the Gold Star Bridgefrom the bottomand cruise by the Coast Guard Academy and Connecticut College. On the other side of the river, some of the country's largest and most advanced submarines line the docks. No photos, please! As you head toward the mouth of the river, note the recently restored Fort Trumbull just before you cruise past Pfizer's new World Research Headquarters on the New London shore. On the opposite bank you'll see the obelisk at Fort Griswold. As you enter Long Island Sound, you will see the fourth oldest lighthouse in the U.S. (The New London Light, (1801) on the right and the more recently built (1909) New London Ledge Light straight ahead. Fishers Island is 6 miles south, and on clear days, Orient Point, the South Fork of Long Island and the infamous Plum Island are visible. For those interested in venturing farther east along the coast, a cruise up Fishers Island Sound takes you to Stonington, with its antique shops and cozy restaurants, or up the Mystic River to the historic town of Mystic. Destinations to the west include Old Saybrook, a ride up the Connecticut River to the quaint town of Essex, or lunch in East Haddam, next to the Goodspeed Opera House. Just across the Sound, the seaside towns of Long Island beckonGreenport, Montauk, Sag Harbor and East Hampton.
CHARTER RATES
SeaPony is US Coast Guard inspected and her captains are US Coast Guard licensed. Charters must be arranged at least 5 days in advance and a 30% deposit is required. Rates vary depending on group size. SeaPony, LLC reserves the right to cancel trips and to change the schedule. Private Party Charter
